The Design
The Cairn BRAVe features a balanced geometry that wouldn’t look out of place on either a mountain bike or a gravel bike. Compared to a gravel bike though it’s slacker and longer which brings better stability and control, whilst keeping the steering manageable for the fully loaded days. The shorter seat tubes, taller stack height and 29 x 2.6 tyre clearance increase comfort to almost sofa by the fire levels. The larger tyre width, matched with a more controllable 60nm of torque from the Shimano E7000 system and 180mm disc rotors all combine to keeping you upright and in control on the trail.

PATENTED LIMITLESS TECHNOLOGY
In order to create the most aerodynamic & stable shape for the tyre, a rim bed of 22.5mm is needed. With the tyre profile this creates, the ideal shape of the rim curves out to an external width of 35mm. To overcome the weight penalty associated with this, we use a (non-structural) low density expanding polymer insert, inside a channel carved out during pre-preg.
This is bonded to the carbon during the curing process, resulting in an exceptionally strong bond. The density of carbon is 1.6g per cubic centimetre, whereas the polymer insert weighs just 0.7g per cubic centimetre, resulting in a (rotational) mass loss of just over 50g per rim. This patented technology enables us to consider the limits of material properties, and smash right past them.

FAQ's
What is the rider weight limit?
120kg load limit, this includes rider, luggage and weight of the bike. This meets the requirement of ISO 4210 and EN15194. This does not mean if rider and luggage is over this, they cannot ride or buy a Brave. They will just need to be more considerate of the effects this will have on the bike’s lifespan and overall fatigue. You can read more about this in the Cairn Manual.
Can I fit racks?
Yes, the BRAVe has provisions for front and rear racks. On the front we recommend its fixed in at least 3 locations, ideally both fork legs and crown. For the rear we recommend that it is fixed in 4 places, on the seat tube and at the dropout. Always follow the rack manufacturers on max load limits. Alternatively, we would recommend Tailfin or Old Man Mountain Axle mounted racks.
Can I fit a dropper post?
Yes, the Brave has provisions for an internally routed dropper post. The cable needs to run externally on the none drive side of the bike and enter the lower seat tube.
Can I fit a suspension fork?
Yes, the BRAVe features suspensions corrected geometry. This means if you wish you could fit a suspension fork. We recommend between 80 – 100mm of travel.
Is the BRAVe compatible with 27.5" or 650b plus wheels?
Due to the geometry and design of the BRAVe its is not compatible with a 27.5" or 650b plus wheel.
Can I fit cargo cages and how much can they carry?
There is no hard and fast rule on this one. Yes, you can fit cargo cages on any of the bottle bosses provided. We work on a bottle-cage bolt style mount can take about 1.5kg per bolt used. It is dependant on where on the bike its being mounted and how many mounts you use and the kind of things your are trying to carry. We recommend using as many bolts as you can to support the weight the better. So, if you can fit a 3 bolt anything cage this is recommended. Always follow the cage manufacturers on max load limits.
Does the BRAVe have provisions for a kickstand?
Yes, we have an integrated mount on the non-drive side chain stay for a 2 bolt 18mm spaced mount.

We understand that buying a new e-bike is a big decision. To help you with that, we are so confident that you'll be happy with your Cairn E-bike, that we offer a full 60 days to ride it. Warranty
Cairn Cycles warranty is only valid if it is purchased through Cairn Cycles or an authorised dealer. The warranty is void if your Cairn bicycle was not purchased direct or with an un-authorised dealer, if you are not the original owner, or it has been subject to non-normal use. Non-normal use conditions mean the bike has been subjected to tricks, stunts, skate parks, pump tracks, ramps, bike parks, north shore style, trials riding, commercial or hire activities. All riding should be done within the intended use of the bicycle, see intended uses page for more details. Warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, abuse, neglect, improper assembly or maintenance as well as crash damage or non-original parts.
Complete Bicycle
All bikes will have a 1-year complete bicycle warranty, as long as the bicycle was purchase from Cairn Cycles direct or an authorised dealer. This will cover any defective materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. This will be subject to condition and use within the intended us guidelines.
Frame
All Cairn Cycles frames will be covered for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase by the original owner. Subject to normal and intended use, regular maintenance and inspection by Cairn Cycles.
Fork
All Cairn Cycles forks (for suspension fork warranty please see the manufactures website or manual) will be covered for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase to the original owner. Subject to normal and intended use, regular maintenance and inspection by Cairn Cycles.
Wheels

All riding should be done within the intended use of the bicycle, see intended uses page for more details. Warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear, abuse, neglect, improper assembly or maintenance as well as crash damage or non-original parts.
Complete Bicycle
All bikes will have a 1-year complete bicycle warranty, as long as the bicycle was purchase from Cairn Cycles direct or an authorised dealer. This will cover any defective materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. This will be subject to condition and use within the intended us guidelines.
Frame
All Cairn Cycles frames will be covered for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase by the original owner. Subject to normal and intended use, regular maintenance and inspection by Cairn Cycles.
Fork
All Cairn Cycles forks (for suspension fork warranty please see the manufactures website or manual) will be covered for a period of 5 years from the date of purchase to the original owner. Subject to normal and intended use, regular maintenance and inspection by Cairn Cycles.
Wheels
All Hunt Bike Wheels are provided with a 3-year warranty against material or workmanship defects. The warranty period runs from the purchase date. For more information visit our help pages
Components
The individual components of your bicycle will have a warranty period as well, which is specific to the manufacture or the component. These will be either outlined in the provided manuals at point of purchase or the details can be found on the manufacturers

Deposit Option - Fully Refundable
If the bike is available to pre-order, we offer you the option to put down a small fully refundable deposit, which secures you the bike for the date that is shown.
If you choose to put down a deposit, we will contact you a few days before the bikes arrives, so you can pay the remaining amount and get your bike in time.

If wheels are showing LIMITED STOCK, we have small numbers for immediate dispatch from our UK warehouse. Please allow for 3-4 working days in order for us to fully prepare your bike for it's new adventure.
